PRESIDENT'S LETTER
[email protected]Welcome back to all returning families and a big welcome to all new families. I am proud and honored to work with an amazing group of parents this year on the PTSA Board as President. The Crystal Springs High School PTSA will be busy as ever this year. I hope you all had a wonderful summer break and are ready to start a new school year! It was so great to see so many new faces getting involved. Your membership allows the PTSA to raise funds to provide a wide range of educational enrichment programs for the students and families. Money raised through PTSA membership, fundraisers helps to fund Reflections Art, Parents University, school supplies for the community students, Teacher's Appreciation Day, and much, much more.
Over the first year, the PTSA has provided learning opportunities and social activities that may have otherwise been unavailable to our students. However, for the PTSA to be effective, everyone participation is essential and parental involvement is a must. Many parents feel that they cannot participate in the PTSA because they cannot come to meetings. We want everyone to feel that they are part of the Crystal Springs Community, whether you have 30 minutes or a couple of hours, your ideas, your time, your talents and simply your VOICE is truly needed. We can match your time constraints and interests to needed tasks. There are endless possibilities in ways you can help. Keep in mind that by volunteering at our school, you will get to enjoy interacting with the kids, become friends with other parents, and accomplish things that truly make a difference.
What better way to show our kids how important their school is than by showing up. We have many ways in which Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and Businesses can contribute to the Crystal Springs Community.Studies have shown that parent involvement in their children’s education and in the schools greatly enhances the level of student academic performance. Getting parents involved in the educational process of the schools in meaningful ways is one of the best, easiest and most effective ways to improve student learning. We have a number of great events upcoming and as always, so we will be needing volunteers! Keep your eyes open for more information regarding programs and activities. Please consider volunteering, it really does make a difference in the lives of all our students!
We would like to thank you in advance for your support. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Have a wonderful school year and we look forward to seeing you at our PTSA meetings.
Sincerely,
Tanya Marsaw
